The Philadelphia Flyers signed 2017 No. 2 all round select Nolan Patrick to a three-calendar year, entry-stage agreement Monday, the group introduced.

Patrick’s signing comes shortly soon after the New Jersey Devils signed Nico Hischier, the No. 1 all round select, to his entry-stage pact.

The Flyers introduced late last month that Patrick had a 2nd abdominal medical procedures right before getting drafted and is anticipated to return to comprehensive exercise in four to six months.

At the scouting mix in early June, Patrick stated he had a sporting activities hernia on both sides and that a person was “misdiagnosed.” Philadelphia-dependent Dr. William Meyers performed the medical procedures.

The personal injury contributed to him missing far more than 50 % of last year for Brandon of the Western Hockey League.

In spite of the personal injury, the 18-calendar year-old Patrick scored 20 ambitions and 46 points in 33 games last year. Total, the 6-foot-2, 198-pounder has 91 ambitions and 204 points in 160 vocation games and was the WHL playoff MVP in major Brandon to the championship in 2016.

Patrick’s health care issues have been element of the thoughts about him major up to the draft, and the Flyers’ health care personnel evaluated him independently.
